What this gear actually does

We'll tell you what's in it. We won't tell you what it'll do for you.

Every competitor page in this category promises an outcome. We describe the hardware and let you decide. That's a deliberate choice, not a gap.

Heat

Three settings: 45, 50 and 55 °C.

It warms up and holds the temperature until the timer stops it. 55 °C is properly hot to the touch, so start on 45 the first time. On the Knee and the Back only.

Three settings: 45, 50 and 55 °C.
Light

660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared LEDs.

Set into the inside face of the wrap. 850 nm is invisible to the eye, so the panel always looks dimmer than it's running. Use them with the heat or on their own. We list the wavelengths because that's what's in there.

660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared LEDs.
Vibration

Two motors, one either side.

Not one lump in the middle. Runs on its own or alongside the heat, on both the Knee and the Back.

Two motors, one either side.

Who it's for

For the hour after you put the tools down.

On the tools

Concreters, chippies, sparkies, tilers, plumbers. The blokes who spend the day on their knees on a slab and know which part of the evening they don't want to move for.

On your feet

Nurses coming off a night shift. Truck drivers, warehouse crews, FIFO on long swings. Ten hours upright, then the drive home.

Who it isn't for

If something is actually wrong, this isn't the answer and we're not going to tell you it is. That's a GP or a physio. Buy one of these for afterwards if you want to.

How you use it

Charge it. Strap it on. Press start.

1
Charge it

USB-C, the same cable as your phone. The boots plug into the wall instead.

2
Strap it on

Sit down first. Firm, not strangled. About ten seconds.

3
Press start

Pick your setting and leave it. It runs its cycle and shuts itself off, whether you remember it or not.

Advertised prices recorded on those sellers' own websites on 9 September 2026. We don't set their prices and they change, so check before you decide. We re-check this table on the first of every month and pull it down rather than let it go stale.

Pricing

Why there's no 'was' price on anything we sell.

Look at the table above

Nearly every price on it is advertised as a reduction from a bigger number. One knee massager lists the same single unit at $299.95 on one page of its own site and $219.95, 'reduced from $529.95', on another.

We've never charged one

$179 for the Knee, $149 for the Back, $249 for the Legs. That was the price last month and it'll be the price next month. There's nothing to reduce it from.

If we ever run a real sale

It'll have a real end date and we'll tell you why we're running it. No countdown stuck at zero, no 'only 3 left', no Easter sale still running in September.

Straight up

What you get, and what you don't.

Where it ships from

TORQ is Australian-owned and based on the Gold Coast. Our gear is made by our manufacturing partner in Asia and posted direct to you, free and tracked, anywhere we ship. That's a real part of why the Knee is $179 and not $349. Queensland is our returns address, not our warehouse, and we won't tell you otherwise.

If it's faulty

Send a photo or a short video and we send a replacement. There's nothing to post back and no postage for you to pay. Several brands in this category still make you pack the unit and post it overseas at your cost. We don't.

If you change your mind

30 days, unused and in its original packaging, posted back to our Queensland returns address at your cost, and we refund the product price. That's a weaker headline than the '90-day risk-free' you'll see elsewhere. It's also the whole policy, with nothing hidden underneath it.

Proof

We're new, and we're not buying reviews.

No review count yet

TORQ launched in 2026. We haven't got ten thousand reviews and we're not going to buy, import or seed any. When real ones land we'll show them with the trade and the suburb attached.

No badges we haven't earned

No press logos, no 'FDA cleared', no 'TGA registered', no physio endorsement, no medical-grade anything. We hold none of those, so none of them are on this site.

What you get instead

Every number we know, the ones we're still measuring flagged as such, our competitors' prices printed next to ours, and an inbox that answers. Judge us on that until there's something better to judge us on.

J

Why TORQ exists

I'm James, Gold Coast. I started TORQ because the gear I wanted was either six hundred dollars with a brand name on it, or forty dollars with no idea who made it or whether the strap would even do up. So we picked hardware we'd use ourselves, put our name on it, wrote down every number on the page, and priced it once instead of marking it up four times for a shelf. If it turns up faulty you send me a photo and I send you another one. That's the whole pitch.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Is this the same as the cheap one on a marketplace?

The hardware in this category is not a secret, and we're not going to pretend ours was invented in a lab. What changes between a no-name listing and this is that we put our name on it, publish every number, answer an inbox, replace it free for twelve months on a photo, and take returns to a Queensland address instead of a shipping label to nowhere.

How hot is 55 °C really?

Properly hot to the touch. Start on 45 the first time and work up once you know what it feels like. Don't use it over broken skin, and don't use it anywhere you can't feel warmth normally.

Why can't I see the near-infrared light?

Because 850 nm is invisible to the human eye. The panel always looks dimmer than it's actually running. The red 660 nm LEDs are the ones you can see.

Will it fit me?

The Knee straps to 48 cm measured around the middle of the kneecap standing up. The Back goes out to about 135 cm at the waist. The Legs are one long size suiting roughly 165 to 190 cm. Over the limit, don't order it, email us instead and we'll tell you straight.

Do I need an app or a subscription?

No. There's no app, no account, no pairing and no subscription on any of the three. You pay once and the thing is yours.

Where does it ship from and how long does it take?

We're Australian-owned and based on the Gold Coast, and our gear is made by our manufacturing partner in Asia and posted direct to you. Free shipping worldwide with no minimum spend, dispatched in 1–2 business days, and usually 7–12 business days to metro addresses. Queensland is our returns address, not a warehouse.

Is it noisy?

The Knee and the Back hum on vibration, about like a phone buzzing on a table. The Legs run an air pump, so more like a desk fan. Fine with the TV on.

Will this fix what's wrong with me?

We're not going to answer that, because we're not allowed to and because we don't know. TORQ gear applies warmth, light, vibration or air pressure to the part of you it straps to. It's not a medical device and we make no claim about what it does for your body. If something is actually wrong, see a GP or a physio.

What if it arrives faulty?

Send a photo or a short video inside twelve months and we send a replacement. Nothing to post back, no postage to pay.

Why is there no reduced-from price?

Because we've never charged one. Have a look at the price table further up this page: nearly every competitor advertises a reduction from a bigger number. We'd rather just charge the price.
